About Us

The Northeast Region Conference has been in existence for over 24 years. It is a regional two day educational conference combined with an industry exposition. The Conference has always been a springtime event held at a central New England hotel-trade center.

Originally started as a combined effort of northeast chapters of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association, the organizers have included for the past 24 years the New England Chapter of the Clinical Ligand Assay Society and the Northeast Section of the American Association of Clinical Chemistry. It is one of the largest co-located clinical laboratory meetings in the country and the largest in Massachusetts bringing the benefits of all three major laboratory organizations to one combined industry meeting!

These additions have expanded the network and scope of available speakers, topics, and exhibitors. Where the convention was once solely focused on management issues, sessions and full day educational tracks have been added to include scientific disciplines such as clinical chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, and many others. The Conference is offered as an educational benefit to the membership and guests of all three organizations on a worldwide basis. Continuing Education Credits are offered to attendees.

The planning committees are staffed by representatives from the societies and industry. The focus of the organizers is to develop and provide a first-class event at a reasonable cost. Committees are organized based upon six functional areas: education, exhibition, registration, hotel, publication (brochure/mailings), and publicity. The event is truly a team effort. Without the dedication and determination of so many people the convention would not be possible. The organizers are always looking for volunteers who wish to make a contribution of their time and talent.

Industry has been very supportive to our efforts and we have always been able to count upon them for sponsorship. Exhibitors have been very loyal to this event and the majority attend and display their products each and every year. We continually seek out new vendors to participate and, hopefully, join our growing list of exhibitors. All vendors can count on our full cooperation and assistance before, during, and after the conference.

During registration, complimentary coffee, tea, juices, muffins and breakfast pastries will be available as well complimentary coffee breaks morning and afternoon. A buffet luncheon each day is included in the registration fee! Don't miss our renown complimentry wine and cheese reception on Tuesday at 5 PM. The reception is free and open to individuals in the hospital laboratory industry.
